1966 Era JTM 45/100 Replica
Introducing Metropoulos Amplification's replica of the holy grail, 1966 100 watt JTM 45/100 Super Amp. A detail-by-detail clone, down to it's NOS tube sockets, this point-to-point handwired beauty ressurects one of the most important amplifiers in the history of recorded music.
Jimi... the classic early AC/DC albums... Pete Townshend — the list is endless. This plexi was one of the key amps that defined the sound of rock and roll. And it's back. Only this one will only cost you a fraction of what you'd pay if you found a vintage unit on the open market.
Every amp we ship has been tweaked to perfection, every component closely measured to ensure rock-solid consistency from amp to amp. That's something they couldn't do in the old days, when finding one that sounded great was a hit-or-miss proposition. Each of these amps are burned in for 24 hours, then played back to back against my original '66.
Features:
- CNC stamped aluminum chassis with cast aluminum end blocks
- Custom wound transformers. massive 3" power and Drake style 2" output
- Exact board layout and perforated material
- Allen Bradley NOS carbon comp resistors
- Military Spec 2 watt potentiometers
- NOS tube sockets
- Valve Art KT66's
- Accurate head case with flat lip, small metal Vox type vents and small rubber feet
